General Information   Students, Parents & Teachers   Alumni
The Governor's School for the Arts prides itself on excellence: the excellence of our many students, and the excellence of the program itself. But that excellence comes with a price tag. Tuition, room, board, and supplies cost approximately $2,800 per student for 241 students annually.

However, GSA students attend the program for free! Administered by the Kentucky Center for the Arts, the program is funded through the Kentucky Commerce Cabinet, the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, and generous donations from the community-at-large.

In addition to the summer program, GSA serves students year-round through Artshops and Masterclasses, which are held at different locations around the state and offer free workshops for students, parents and teachers interested in learning more about GSA.

Finally, GSA has a large wish list. We want to afford more students the opportunity to attend GSA. We want to add more arts disciplines and a fourth week to the program. We want to conduct additional Artshops in areas with limited arts education. We want to create a solid alumni network, where graduates can keep in touch and check up on each other whenever they feel like it. Most importantly, we want to offer an unparalleled opportunity for young artists and, with your help, we will.

If you would like to contribute to GSA, please make a check payable to the Governor’s School for the Arts and send it to:
