Even though it was the 4th of July today, GSA didn’t slow down for a moment! Don’t worry though, we celebrated the 4th of July over the weekend, GSA style.
GSA Drama Faculty member Stephanie Roberts began our morning with a brief history of masks, Commedia dell’Arte, and Epic Storytelling, giving striking demonstrations of each. Roberts teaches classes for the MFA Professional Actor Training Program at the University of Missouri, Kansas City and is the founder of Boom! An International Lost and Found Family Marching Band.
This was our last “real” day at GSA, meaning the next few days will be filled with dress rehearsals, setting up exhibits, and exciting exercises to help the students cope with the post-GSA blues once they leave. Since it was our last “real” day, we decided to create a video on the life of a GSA student.
Parents & Mentors - We’re looking forward to seeing you on Saturday, and we know the faculty and students are excited to show you what they’ve been working on for the past three weeks! Make sure to check out our Final Day schedule for details about Final Day and all of the performances throughout the day!
Today’s video gives you a first-hand look at an average day here at GSA! Also, don’t forget, the pictures below are available for purchase on our SmugMug page!
